empty chair

I lay awake in my bed
Roll over to find you're not there,
Again I feel sad
Life isn't always fair.

I get up to take a shower
Let the water run first,
You still wasn't there
That feeling was the worst.

I listen to the music loudly
Find myself singing alone,
A tear falls with the water
I can't do this on my own.

I get out of the shower
Throw me on some clothes,
Sit down on the couch
Search for my favorite shows.

I look over to my side
Where you're supposed to be,
This is a life
I've never imagined to see.

I walk outside for a smoke
Look down at the empty chair,
I start to feel a breeze
I miss the one who truly cares.

7 months til you get back
