That's not what I want, no offense.
I want a king young and strong.
Where everyone can see that we just belong.
I want to be held in his arms
And be freed from all harm.
No where else I rather be
Than right there with him you see.
No ordinary king will do.
I want him to be smart and kind too.
He must think of others before himself
And not put his problems up boiling on a shelf.
He will deal with all situations in a mannered way
And still have peace at the end of the day.
Come home to me and share my bed.
Smiling as he strokes the hair on my head.
Oh! Wait! I forgot something to tell all of thee.
I do have a king and he is just for me.
Maybe he does not rule a true kingdom
But I still love where he comes from.
He is my life and my joy.
He is the person I think of awake or asleep.
Here for me to enjoy.
Him I plan to keep.
