Dear, Marijuana

Hello Marijuana
My forever best amiga
I'm writing this in my euphoria
An idea induced by my insomnia.

This is some sort of reminiscence
Now that I'm lost in silence
Meeting you is maybe an act of Providence
Our friendship flourished as I lost my innocence
How I have longed for your presence
During my attempt of abstinence.

You're the only friend who understood
And could tolerate my moods
You gave me comfort and ecstasy
My dear Juana, you're my rhapsody.

You were there when I was abandoned by everyone
You were the only one I could hold in my hand
I was forsaken and betrayed
But Juana, you stayed.

So I wrote this piece for you
To say merci, gracias, arigatoo
Mari my dearest Juana, thank you
For the emptiness you've filled
And for all the pains you've killed.

I hate to say adieu
And this is really true
But even if now I do
Please know that I won't forget you
And I'll forever miss you

My dearest Marijuana,
Sayonara...

    This was fantastic! I love the style of this and you penned something truly brilliant. The ending was perfect and It reminds me of a poem I had written similar to this! keep on penning and good luck in the contest.

    This was great to read, especially since it's so unique. Everyone writes how they hate marijuana but this is a refreshing turn of the tide =)
    The rhyming also has a nice flow to it, hope mine is as good ^^.

    Oh wow! This is amazing!
    The rhyme was great, not forced at all! And the sentiments were lovely. I can agree with all of it, and you conveyed the emotion well. I enjoyed the different ways you mentioned marijuana. "Mari my dearest Juana" was my favourite, so creative! The different languages, too, were engaging. Especially the Japanese, as I'm obsessed with the language.
    Great write! A quick favourite!
