The Promise

There are those who say promises are mere wishes.
But there is one promise that does not fail.
It is the one that Christ gave us as he went to the cross.
"In my father's house there are many mansions, I go there to prepare a place for you. That where I am there you will be also."
I do not pretend to understand the death of a child and I can not get used to it but this I believe Christ does not fail us.
There are those grieving tonight, perhaps a parent, a child and even the parents of adult children.
Yes it is very hard to face the death of a loved one, but then it was hard to face their suffering.
So we say goodbye only for a short period of time and our tears will dry.
Always remember that the rain comes from the clouds but the son makes the rainbow.
Love never truly dies it is as close as your heart.

Author notes

In the last week we have lost several in our community. One was 37 a paralegic who died of cancer, a 59 year old mother who died of emphyzema. A young Coast Guard Pilot. I am saying good bye to Wayne Rickman Jr. Sharon Oliver, Lt. Adam Bryant.

    A beautiful and heartrending poem,
captured so beautifully, with so many of HIS promises.
I pray for their spirits, and their reception in the Kingdom. May it be brilliant and overflowing with blessings.

    Thank you for sharing this!
    Zach Estel.
