Dejection

Lying beneath
the sorrow stained sheets of my bed,
I reach out for you,
embracing your form,
messaging your abondoned desire for me

but...

you are gone,
no longer here,
nor am I;
and never will be again.

You borrowed my soul,
conjoining it with your own,
allowing me a pathway
to entireness.

You now cast me away,
and I know not why.
I no longer recognize
who you are,
or ever were.

You offered me
your warmth and strength,
and a promise for life

ours...

I now lie in a bed of deception.
I annointed you my boundles keeper;
you in return betrayed
my dignity and trust.

I now exist without you;
your memory,
my love,
both consumed by misery,
extinct forever for reasons
never disclosed or expressed.
I am alone with regret and uncertainty
with an absence of honor from you.

I presented you my future
and you accepted with anticipation.
You consumed my flaws,
replacing them with your goodness,
yet I am now a statue in your likeness;
cold and without any desire for appeal.

You have turned me
into what you have become;
a barren space in a world called

nowhere...

    "Dejection" is the Universal Cry for justice! Why, For What Purpose. Help me to understand. You have penned my heart at this time. For me, I have desired to keep my heart wide-open. One cannot control the Rainbow or the Dove, all we have at our disposal is to LOVE!

    I have been touched this morning by Your poem "Dejection."

    Thank You for sharing Your reflections and raw emotions.

    Gratitude and Respect,

    liquid
