{Trijan Refrain}
Somewhere between the birth and fade,
my skies did hold un~phased moon~
It's full beauty, a face arrayed
upon warm seas of June.
Somewhere the stars wink-off to bed
seeing their limits drenched in red.
Somewhere the stars,
somewhere the stars
won't forget gentle words once said.
May heights ne'er tumble to hearts caved
May the sea know stones' swoon...
Somewhere between the birth and fade
I walked the cliffs of sunset's ruin;
with light long fled, the darkness bred
its dreams of never did and said.
With light long fled,
with light long fled~
my eyes did shine as moon unbled.
Somewhere between the birth and fade
I found a shelter hewn
from blues above, below and strayed;
a hallowed twilight strewn
with silver smiles and tears bright~shed;
where clouds rethread inklings of dread
with silver smiles
with silver smiles
as rivers of west and east wed.

the words and the border are beautiful. The refrain is so catching almost like a prayer. Congratulations on your trophy. It is an honor being in this contest with you.

jin's 100% correct in her thinking I'd treasure this. Oh my!,but the Poetess knows my spirit all too well. Are you watching me remotely "lill sister"? It seems so. Fits like a glove and I luv ya for it Blue.

This was beautifully told in one of my favorite forms. The background is a perfect complement for this lovely verse. You never settle for the commonplace and each of your poems is a work of art. Good luck in this contest. Peace, Liz

So Beautiful. I love all the blue - so deep, and vibrant, with a sneak-peak at the lighter blue of the sky.
Sounds like someone found a place of peace. *Sigh*

my favorite shade of blue. Rarely does a background make me go wow, but this one did. I had to calm myself down a little to read the words of this haunting and marvelously told tale. I think I can see a lady up there on those cliffs, awandering, forever waiting. The silver smiles made me smile in return, very soft and beautiful ending. Wonderful.
I think Suseann will love this.
Yep
love,
jin
