I find pictures in the ceiling
when I can't sleep.
I roll onto my side,
I wish I could find a way to keep
you here with me,
but that's something I can't do alone.
Please stay here from now on.
I cant do this on my own.
So let me feel your limbs
get tangled in mine,
and stay here forever,
Because we never find the time
to just lay here together
as i listen to you breathe,
its the lullaby i crave.
The one you sing perfectly.
I pour my milk for one
every morning, i sit and stare
at that chair across from me
and wish you were sitting there,
but when i wake up
I never see your face.
Theres nothing but cold air
filling up your space.
I wish you'd let me feel your limbs
get tangled in mine.
And stay here forever,
because we never find the time
to just lay here together
as I listen to you breathe.
It's the lullaby I crave.
The one you sing perfectly
I don't know what I'm doing.
I know this isn't right.
I wish you you would sing for me,
so i could sleep tonight.

This is absolutly neautiful and stunning!
I adore this piece because it describes so well how I feel at night when I have to sleep alone, and how lonely it is in the morning with nothing but the empty chair to stare at.
I loved the flow & lyrical sense this poem produces, unless it is lyrics?
Anyways this was pure genius in my eyes! Thank you SO much for sharing!
