Just a masked face at an invisible masquerade ball, dancing alone to the broken tune
of melodic footsteps and dull thoughts, meaning less to every eyeball that has sighted
the rips in a ball gown dress;
Nothing but a something rather than a someone who lives on the wonders of dreams
that have yet to be told in a book of fairy tales and rhymes,
it's like the desire for something you know that is illegal to touch taste and sense,
but still you want to feel it's intoxicating warmth.
So why live in a book of words and self created images that never fit up to the actors
dedicated to playing those characters you loved,
because the conception is wrong, the mirror has reflected scenery not emotions
and you feel your no longer strong.
We write essays without understand the words and poetry that does not rhyme,
and criticised some feel they have failed to please the sweetness of the public taste
[when do you remember it's your needs that decide your fate]
What did you think

Delicious! Eatable!
"Perceptions Never Work Out" is a bitter-sweet rendering of our expectations, our desires, our needs, our hopes, our dreams, et al.
Lovely imagery. Poignant.
Suggestion: Penultimate stanza, L. 4: "your" is "you're"
Last stanza: "understanding"
You have captured the feeling of being alone in a crowd, of seeing one's zero visibility and then you have asked the question: "Does any one matter but "I"?
"Perceptions Never Work Out" spills honest and thoughtful ink.
Love and Light
till next time

I love you Char Char... you pen words that deeply touch many that like the essays we write many don't understand, the depth of the metaphors are deeper than many know... only few know their true meaning. I love you my Charry Starry Butterfly. *hugs* xxxxx
