Daydreaming

Im sitting in class
taking notes on American History
I cant stay focused
man this anticipation is killing me
The teacher is explaining the Emancipation Proclamation
but Im thinking of you
getting to you is my final destination

Im daydreaming about the way your body heat
warms my body
when you give me your soft gentle hugs
I wonder if you know that I savor them more than life itself
Im daydreaming about the way you say my name
Its soft but yet dominant
strong but precious
your smile is gracious
the way your eyes shine
in a dim room is marvelous

I snapped back to reality
the teacher described the Thirteenth Amendment
that banned slavery
but I was soon pulled back
into the world that only you and I exist
I realized that I admire your bravery
Youre willing to take a chance to love and to be loved

Im daydreaming
about the way your strong arms wrap around my small feminine waist
I wish to run into your arms with haste
and I wonder about the way your sweet tongue would tast
against mine
The bell rung
and my mind is clustered with thoughts of you
Someone is calling my name
but I have to see you
Good
Ive made it

My body yearns to hold you
kiss you
and tell you that you are the one
but something always stop me
I refuse to let it hold me back
No! Not this time

So I walked toward him
taking one step at a time
His eyes caught the beam of mine
They could see right through me
He looked at me tenderly
Then I lost the connection
She ran from behind me
and let a soft tender kiss rest upon his sleeping lips

They smiled at each other
as if they were in love
He ran his finger through her hair
Damn this is not fair
but neither is life
Right!

It looks as if  Ive lost this fight
but who says I cant daydream
