It may not be the best way
but poetry keeps coming.
There is so much I want to say.
It seems that all I have is words.
It seems that somewhere
maybe you can read it,
all these words that flowed.
It seems I need it,
need to believe,
This is a way to say
"I love you" and I pray.
Why did you leave?
I never had a chance
to say "I love you."
as much as I wanted
but it was so true,
I only knew it fully
when it was too late.
All I can give is these verses,
sad flowing, in full spate.
Author notes
So sorry about your parents. This may not be exactly what you want but I was reminded right away of how I just had to write, after my father died.

I know that feeling ...
and your poem shares it well! Whether someone has passed on or whether they are just not within the realm of present day sharing --- the sense of loss and love gets put into words -- and not quite fast enough because so many of those memories stay within the mind rising up in the colors and scents like a vast field of wildflowers!
