it doesn't matter
because I still have me
and I have no one to answer to
except myself
As sure as God is my witness
let them all act vulgar and pissed
never to see the world through my eyes
I doubt if they could
even if they tried
if they said they would
you know it would be a lie
and that is why
I'm putting it all behind me
Take your blame game
and fuck yourself
I'm not responsible
for your poor decisions
when you asked for my advice
I gave it to you straight up
with no chaser
and as you swallowed my words
they leaked out your ears
no retention there
just a face sporting a sneer
with no comprehension
of anything ever said
you and your revisionist history
no doubt causing you pain and misery
somewhere down the line
so don't bother me the next time
your world goes to hell
maybe that is where you need to dwell
the golden child tarnished
a perfect reputation
based solely
on absolutely nothing at all

Oh my goodness, this poem is...very meaningful. its as if it came from a place deep inside you say in the first few lines

i remember feeling like this countless amount of time. it seems like you are portraying someone deeply misunderstood.
