Winter is riding on the north wind
The branches joined fall; burning red leaves
Now every leaf burns bright soon to drop
The shadowy ground turns winter white
Deep in the valley the crops are gathered
Below the garden flowers fold away
The dawn yellowed with cedar pollen
Now autumn draws down the land
Frosty twilight evenings by the hearth
Beneath the long winters cloak
Revolving seasons bring memories
The drift of leaves shelters springs return
The dry woods strain with the cold
Deep within the house a flame warms
A log tumbling with a merry flame
Casting laughing long shadows
Above the roof midnight drifted
We rest till spring returns the land~
