I woke to watch the sun set
And stayed up until the dawn,
Dancing in the shadows
Until all the stars were gone.
Happy in this chaos
For I know it won't be long
Before you join the chorus
Of this underrated song.
I know that you are waiting
In the boredom of your life
For something to bring solace
Longer lasting than the knife.
I know you crave the burden
Of a twisted love like mine.
The pain will be your pleasure
And the pleasure so divine.
We'll wake to watch the sun set
And stay up until the dawn,
Dancing in the shadows
Until all the stars are gone.

A most darkly superb write... just excellent, the final stanza only slighted changed from the first stanze is powerful... and, yes, I did love this one...
