Something has to be done
Though it will not be fun...
But you gotta do it anyways,
Since it is one of those days;
When things are not working
And you are just sulking.
You think you’ve worked hard all day,
Not even resting along the way...
Yet when you look back,
You see you work’s been so slack.
(Right now it’s happening to me...
So I felt like writing; you see!!!)
If it’s one of those days...
When your mood just sways,
You gotta think all over it
And you’ll realize you’re a nitwit
Deep inside there’s a ding dong
Suddenly you see where you are wrong.
But hey! Your job’s not yet done.
Realization is just the first turn.
Still there’s lot of work left
But now you are clever and deft.
‘Coz now you know what’s to be done
Though it may not be fun.
It’s your mess – you know that well,
Over it don’t just dwell.
Clean it up – do it fast
But be careful, don’t make haste
You’ll see your life slowly unclutter
Your problems melt away like butter...
Drops of relief pour plitter-platter,
And the world seems a place so better.
It started off as a depressing day,
You yourself made it so much gay.
Still the job’s yet half done...
Though what’s left now could be fun.
You gotta spread the word to more people
In all directions like a ripple.
This idea does not work always
But it takes care of most such days.
You must always see to it,
That you never lose hope or wit.
Days like this shall come and go.
But you must put up a brave show...
Then I’ll say the job is done,
And I’ll bet you agree it has been fun.
