I am many things, to many people but,
I am God's Child... first
I take my daily journey with pride
starting all my days off with prayer.
for without it I wouldn't get very far.
I have raised a village of children
yet I only gave birth to two
closed the eyes of my father while passing,
to heavens open gate
with tears in my eyes, I felt his peace.
I smile when I don't want to smile
and I have cried my eyes dry
I've come to learn that I'm never alone
in God's heart, I am home
He walks with me everyday of my life.
Following him I learned alot
and it hasn't always been easy
mistakes I have made. learned my lessons
moved on, with head held high
I only hope I made God proud.
I am God's Child...

This is beautiful! I too am "God's Child". I agree with having to pray and thank Him with each new day. And no matter what else I have been or done, I am still His. There is a tenderness to these words spilling from a heart of true love. I believe God is proud of you for your witness and dedication. Lovely sentiments written here poet. Keep being YOU!

What you are is a truly beautiful soul who has made me stop and think DEEPLY about my life and what it means and I am reminded that I, too, am God's child so nothing and no one can seperate me from his love...
More than I care to admit, I somehow have forgotten that today so I thank you for reminding me and for being a good and faithful servant of our Lord
