You were suppose to be my father
Someone I looked up to
But you abandoned us with an alcoholic mom
For that, I will never forgive you

No one is saying you don't have good reason for your hurt, ask God to hope you see why, first of all is she alcoholic because he left, so she is in pain, or was it the cause for his pain. Love conquers all, and when you begin to understand their sides of their fault, their weakness...and even love them, like a hug for instance, it can change things. Can really feel your hurt as well. Powerful truth from your heart. Well done. Blessings.

Such sadness here....I am assuming this is truthful so if it is my comment is as such..
It takes so much energy to not forgive and I know you are thinking it is easier said than done however, I have found myself at a previous time with a huge forgiveness much more than this and I found that the more hate I put into it, the worse I felt. It is much easier to forgive and move forward than to retain the negativity. If this is not based on personal experience, you have captured this well. Thanks so much for entering and best of luck in the contest.
