I feel the pain; my life is in disdain
Forget quatrains my words get washed in the rain
These chains remain although I hate to complain
I can’t explain why I want to jump out of a plane
A twisted mind has me blind, I always look but never find
The balance and peace that seems to leave me behind
I try to be kind and make severed ropes bind
But I’m wasting time fighting on enemies’ lines
Here come the fines, court cases, possible suspension
I lose my pension and my life without a mention
Of my wonderful works professing the perks
Of living clean, staying away when danger lurks
A soul divided, torn from the hand that provided
The pain had subsided until that look revived it
Faces can tell stories without even speaking
Looks can be deceiving but there’s bad blood leaking
I see sarcastic smiles and capture them in my files
Upload these mug shots and broadcast them for miles
So the whole world can see what you really mean
When you smile and applaud me for staying clean

Mo, this piece is a killer. I love this joint. Wow, you know this kind of writing from you snap-shot me back to just a little over a year ago when you boardcasting in high-notes. I hadn't even noticed how much time has passed since I've paid you a real visit. How does time pass so fast? I love this piece in all its raw presentation and realness. Excellent kid.
