Poems for Autumn: I

Precious, this season is.
It fills my heart with tenderness.
The cool warmth spreads over me,
As my soul seeks expansion.

I nearly had a moment of glory,
Being enrapt by this serenity.
But I backed away.

Sunlight illumines like a revelation
Made at the time of dying.

Surely, I am everywhere,
Melting into this grass and these trees,
For the earth is my wedding bed.
I am married to this life.

Please tell me what you think

This is a gorgeous tribute to the many glories that Autumn has to offer us all, if we should only look beyond our own vast borders and into the waning sunlight. Lovely, my Friend.
