Teddy bears are her only comfort

Mamas too busy hugging her bottle and
Daddies a stranger that she sees everyday
She's ignored and kicked away like sand
Her world smells like a liquor soaked ash tray.

She hugs his graying fur
As she hears harsh words echo and crash
Her vision begins to blur
Mama storms in and throws teddy in the trash

When Mama passes out
And daddy has gone away
She fishes him out and knows without a doubt
Teddy loves her any day

Teddies been there from birth
And reminds her what she's worth

I love this. It's a sad write, many kids live through, but wonderfully written.
    good luck

Very well written. The poem reads smoothly, and displays the girl's emotions and hard lifestyle eloquently. Very good.
