Blurred vision and a thumping head,
a reminder,
good times were had by one and all.
Fancy dress lies crumpled on the floor
a masquerade,
grab a shower and pull on blue jeans.
The besom stands in the corner,
ready for work,
sweeping up the remains of Halloween
Empty cans and burnt out candles,
filling black sacks,
so the new year begins.
Ashes of spells cast beneath the moon,
a futile wish,
if only magic could clear up after a party.

This sounds scarier than Halloween LOL
Thanks for your entry. Got a chuckle out of last two lines

Love this! Magic does clean up after the party. Try twitching your nose!

HA HA I used to do the Tabitha twitch as a kid - still it didn't quite work so I must be doing it wrong.
