Life's Begining Death's Ending

Life stands still, hovering upon the brink of death
soon there will be so little time,
twisted, turning within the ebony nights
this life was sublime.

Cast out upon the sandy shores
of life's little joke
the time we spend in this world
cannot be seen in grays or blues.

Soon this life will be snuffed out
in the darkest of ways,
death will come upon silken wings
to take you far, far away.

Dark of eye, sweet of nature,
this angel of death is upon you,
charmed by his boyish ways
you succumb to him.

Vein of life soon pierced deep
drinking the life's blood,
this night-walker will have his way,
soon you will become his bride.

Death does take you down its darkened path
to have you awake to soon,
no longer living in life
but walking death's road.

Where life has begun,
death will take over,
soon you will taste the defeat
soon it will be at an end.

Come little ones do not fear me
for I am the master sublime,
you will rest in my darkened bosom
until the ending of time.
