I lived the troubles of a younger man,
from 15 to 50 they plagued my soul.
When demon possessed I made them my own,
only one just like me could understand.
Nagging thoughts in my head are not normal,
the voices they cry out day and night too.
Expecting things from me I know are wrong,
I'm not strong, I cannot combat them all.
Cry for deliverance from the mundane,
let us take you to a place of false peace.
We will numb the fears and all of the pain,
insanity is it's own just reward.
Pick up the bottle, go buy some more drugs,
your life is forfeit, you're now one of us.

If you or anyone you know thinks they might have a problem with drugs or Alcohol, chances are very good they do.
Seek help from one of the many organizations near you dedicated to those who need just this type of help.
Find an AA or NA meeting and listen to the stories, listen for the similarities not the differences in them. Don't leave five minutes before the miracle happens.

I'm not sure what a Lannet is but I quite enjoyed the poem itself;
speaking from within you lay out the years of wasted life & the
consequences left in the mind following the actions taken
