A Stranger, True

Through the painted fields I stepped
Broken hearted, oh how I wept
For you, my friend, a stranger, true
But still a human with feelings too.

Do you feel alone in this unfair world?
No one to hold you, fears unfurled
Yet here I stand, a stranger, true,
With my hand held out to you.

Don't leave us, love, we need you here
Your heart, your soul, your smile, your tear
For if you leave, we'll be alone
Without you here, it's just not home.

You're not alone, you've got us all
With open arms to stop your fall,
I'll be your friend, your angel too
Though I am but a stranger true.

Stay with us. Please.
