So I’d really like to say that I hope
it is wonderful in every way
We have never met, that’s true
but somehow I feel so close to you
Is it the way you care or the way you
want to share?
Can’t put my finger on it at this time
perhaps all those wonderful written lines
you post upon this site?
Lines you work on day and night
to send a message of hope or
warn the kids to give up dope
Even when your back is aching
your time you still are taking
Your care and understanding so plain to see
and you so often agree with me
as we rant and rave about the state
of this old world and how we would
put it right in an hour
if we were only given the power
Ah yes Patty as you have got older
I think you have become that shoulder
that many have needed to lean on
and others have so desperately cried on
No matter what you are always there
so ready to listen and care
And it is so lovely to exchange stories
of our past pain and glories
Both one of eight kids that got up to
all sorts of tricks
So much in common yet worlds apart
but what really unites us is our hearts
So Patty have a wonderful day
cause you deserve it in every way
