This contest intruiges me so I am going to be honest and give you the answer that I feel to be right not the one that you may want to find... want to hear. The concept of this contest suggests to me that you are unsure of where you fit into the world, on a small and larger scale. You are indecisive of what you want from life. Yesterday suggests that you have a strong social conscience, you probably watch the news for reasons other than it is on, but you feel as though you can't really do anything to influence the world. And proud to be grass suggests that you wish for something more. Ok it says I wish I was something else, but hopefully you'll see my point. This is a typical teenage story of high school cliques. I wrote a lot of them in year 12. You're analogy seems your own, but it seemed as though you could have written more from the heart if you wanted to. Few emotions were really expressed to make it believable that you were really a part of the story. Generic teen fiction seems your genre. It seems as though you are afraid to put too much of yourself into your wirting for fear of persecution. You have talent with out a doubt, but really dont be afraid.
