For a stroll under the sun is like the love I covet
Barely taking steps
Pleasantly pursuing what possibly may come of it
Fall colors in every direction
Seems to me like perfection
As if I have entered The Doors of Perception
Throughout the crisp air
Calm cool contained winds swirl swiftly
Kicking leaves of all shades
Silently praying that this never fades
In the slightest distance
I witness a puddle of rain
Remaining modest from yesterday
Not a worry in the world as it lies still
And for my own thrill
I race to leap towards the puddle
Sitting oh so subtle
Muddy water jumps to a small splash
Soaking the ankles of my denim pants
To the corner I dash
Within my nose
November’s fragrance thoroughly flows
While in her presence
My scarlet heart captures her essence
Auburn eyes glance towards the right
Amber light still shining bright
I decide to skip down the road
Foreseeing no end in sight
Perceiving life with lenses less tainted
I can accept her with restored clarity
Mother has now granted me
Peaceful serenity

I like this. It really gives me a feeling of being in the 'now' - just observing, not worrying. Thank you for entering the contest ‘Metaphysical #3’.
