Six Degree's Of Seperation

I have a friend, she cuts,
she also sticks her fingers down her throat.
this girl is beautifull,
but she can not see it..

~Body Dismorphia~

I have a dear old friend, a second mom,
took me in like many others,
when all had fled the nest and gone,
Hospitalized..

~Mental Breakdown~

I know a girl,
beautifull and kind,
had a baby,
and nearly lost her mind..

~Postnatal Deppression~

I knew a guy, artist and writter,
delusional, paranoid, anxiety,
medication daily..

~Schizophrenia~

A lad, 21, trapped in momories of Iraq,
nightmares, flash backs, anxiety, depression..

~Post Traumatic Stress Disorder~

I know a girl, she is called "me"..

Author notes

not so much a poem as more an awearness of mental illness. this is very basic stuff but iv tried to highlight a few different types of mental disorders and that im sure we all know someone who who lives with or has gone through some sort of mental illness at one time in there life. Ithink it still fits the prompt given.
not sure the tittle is right though.

I saw you like fanniesson's poetry and never saw you around so figured I would take a looksie at your writes...this is very good. I really like the ending and it's sad. I have had a few of those issues and I am sure everyone can relate to something in this piece. very nicely done

    hmmm

poemon cutting and its implications--whar is important is what leads to it. This aspect is taken as normal depression. A poem so grahic about cutting was never seen.well done dear. Visit me and see my work though i do not write oncutting much.

    outstanding

thought provoking in its honesty and minimilism. so much said in so few words, a very difficult thing to achieve especially when writing about issues like mental illness. well done.
