Impartial

Partially because I am impartial
to what you think of me.
I have been my own person,
and that is all that I can be.
The meanest things I've ever
heard has poured from your mouth.
Things that have filled my heart
with complete utter doubt.
Things that no one should say
to a person that they so claim to love.
Things that should not be thought
or even spoken of.
But you have said you loved me
beyond what I can measure,
but I feel like a piece of trash,
and not a valued treasure.
For out of the mouth the heart speaks,
and your mouth has let me know
how you truly feel about me.
Partially because I am impartial
to what you think of me.
I have been my own person,
