Hooked on You (loup-garou)

I fell in love with golden colored eyes
that spoke of feral cats and mysteries,
so entranced I only heard the sighs
and never asked about the histories.
He had a cunning instinct and rapport
for beings that were far outside my ken.
He said my face was something to adore
so I basked in his compliments and then
the moon rose full as daylight in the sky.
With subtle moves his limbs became enlarged
and claws appeared where fingernails had been.
I stood in horror as my loved one charged
to sink his fangs into my tender skin.
I sank onto the ground but still could feel
my darling chewing on me, his next meal.

Beautifully done sonnet that takes a left turn somewhere in the middle towards an unexpected ending (assuming one does not know what the title means.)

Nice write and nice use of form here.
