We work in the ministry, feeding the lies
Creating a world filled with beauty and love
Reworking the truth in acceptable guise
Obeying our masters who send from above
Those notes which express what reality's left:
We rewrite the world in acceptable style
Though we know that we're living where truth is bereft
And our leaders have filled us with cunning and guile.
While wars rumble on, we will write words of peace
While people are dying, we'll write about life
The lies of our masters are never to cease
And the world rumbles on in her permanent strife:
But who is to know where reality lies?
The words of the masters inspire us to write
So we type out our truth while reality dies
And white becomes black, and black becomes white.

See 1984 by George Orwell. A truly prophetic novel.

I really enjoyed this. However, you didn't accurately use the prompts given. I noticed "feeding the lies", but that is to be used as a title. Please indicate which prompt you've used (or change the title if it's Feeding the Lies). I thought this very accurately portrayed thought within the book. Great write!
