She wears a moonstone upon her finger,
A single moonstone, because of love,
A love that was, and is forever...
She hides the moonstone, beneath a glove.
A green glove lacy ,like summer grasses...
A moonstone glowing ,like August nights.
She walks in moonlight,
And talks to heaven..
A lover hurt her ..
One drear,dark night.
The moonstone glows, like a distant planet
Reflecting light from...
Enchanted lands.
She wears it always, beneath the green glove,
It fits like torture,
Upon her hand.
The ring of moonstone ,
Her darling gave her,
And promised to her...
His very life.
She felt a joy burn, bright inside her.
She knew she would,become his wife.
But on an evening, in late November,
She heard a knocking, at her door...
There lay a letter, all cool and ivory,
She read a little ,then smiled no more.
He had left her, and wed another,
The moonstone ring ,shone eerily,
It leads her way, into the darkness...
Its glory fading and so is she.

Moonstone.....The moonstone symbolises our being in its entirety. With its soft shimmer, it strengthens our emotional and subconscious aspects. The associations connected with that make it a "lovers' stone", evoking tender feelings and safeguarding the true joys of love. It is also said that wearing a moonstone strengthens our intuition and our capacity to understand.
