He's been my steady Lithium
I craved when I'm in thought
more mystic then the others
allowing things I often fought
I'm dizzy from your Vicodin
that abandons me of sorrow
it makes me love this life again
So I live until tomorrow
My addiction is a fire
That complies within my head
never feeling to conspire
& depart him with such dread
This source of a narcotic
I just can't seem to drop
because he's so quixotic
I'll never ache to stop
And if I'm on conniptions
you'll never be too far
to refill my prescriptions
And shoot me like a star

Is this the first of your poems I've read? I like it. You did well with all the tools and banged out a decent poem.
