The pain echoes through the room,
as the sound of his voice fades.
Clutching onto her bear,
she curls up into a ball.
As her frail body trembles,
shaken by the memories.
Her eyes start to bleed,
framed by blackened waters.
Thoughts swimming in mascara tears,
holding onto feelings now gone.
She collapses into herself,
with no one to keep her safe.
Alone tonight falling through the layers,
eyes clouded with her midnight tears.
Dying just to be held again,
and feel at peace one more.
Gripping onto her life raft,
stroking the soft fur in a rhythm.
Soaked in the silent waters,
as they cascade from her flowing eyes.
Lips tremble as her fingers search,
looking for a hand to hold hers.
And save her from the black water,
of her ice cold mascara tears.

Great write! I loved the power of the last line. The power over-all was stunning. Please place which prompt you chose in your AN.
