Doctors with their sharp scalpels
are slicing through slick brains,
zombies with blood red lips
are chewing on torn veins.
Women dressed as slutty cats
are making hellish brews,
witches with their warts and hats
are cooking baby stews.
Demons with wide smiles
roar and bare their teeth,
a warrior with long hair
pulls a broadsword from its sheath.
Children draped as ghosts
haunt the streets this hallowed night,
put on your black dyed wig
and join us all in fright.

Scary Fun
This is great. Sounds really good read out loud. I am from Australia and Halloween it not a tradition here but this year was the first that we took our kids trick or treating...the kids got so excited about the 'scariness of it', so loved reading your poem. I am sure my kids will too! Might read it out to them next Halloween OhhhOhhhhh

It's Cool.
An enjoyable read. The zombies are my favorite and the warrior too. My oldest is going to be an 18th Century Vampire and my youngest is going to be Ariel, the little mermaid. My gf is wanting to turn me into The Crow, but I dunno what she is supposed to be though.

Ha. This is great. I saw a girl on the train today with all the 'corpse' make-up on and figured on you probably doing the same. I can't go out
No-one's around.
