Cry of Love

Missing image
She calls to those beyond the grave
on this most hallowed eve
Looking for her one beguiled
a love she must retrieve

The spirits rumble in the tombs
then slowly start to rise
Too many there for her to count
a wakening they despise

Dust of bones and tattered clothes
a foul stench begins
Remaining steadfast to his call
a million screaming violins

Then a shudder of the earth
and all are now awake
To roam these lands this devilish night
lives they do retake

A haunting rolls across the world
like haze with eyes and ears
Horrid sights of death long passed
implanted in our fears

Every soul to reach and touch
some to choke and hold
Spirits coming back to life
their gruesome stories to be told

Terror creeps across our towns
as cities begin to burn
Ghastly are the already dead
as each one takes their turn

Cries ring out all through the night
with vicious penance past
Chaos touches every life
as long as darkness lasts

And in the morn with sorrowed tears
they find her on her knees
Her one true love he did not rise
no matter what her pleas

You have such talent in these dark writes...This has got to be a favorite of mine though I am not a fan of the dark pennings...Though this one between rhyme and flow it kept me intrigued! Bravo!

This would be one very scary bed time story. For reading it out loud would make the hairs stand up and chills run down one's spine. Yes, my husband this is one dark and wicked poem.

Love you, and sending all my love your way.

Your wife, lover, and best friend.
