I waited for you.
I stood there and took it
as you made me look like a fool.
I never stopped loving you
I never stopped crying.
I never gave up
I never stopped trying.
I stood there and took it
as you lied to my face.
I thought you were different
I thought you had changed.
But now I have realised
that you will never change.
No matter what you tell me
it will always be the same.
The arms that were once wide open
have fallen to my side.
I can not be with someone
who lied and lied.
You ask me not to leave
but i'm telling you it's too late.
My arms are no longer wide open
my arms will no longer wait.

It's over
Bravo! now that's what I call a done with you good bye. Very well written
though you love that person still, as much as it hurt, you let him go very nicely worded, you hate lying, who does? nobody needs to be played over and over again.Well done my dear and the rhyming was awesome flowed nicely.
God Bless

In 4th stanza, "realised" should be "realized". In the 5th stanza, I think the flow would work better if you said "who lied and lied and lied." Make sure you capitalize your "I"s. I very much like where you took J. M. Spenser's quote. It seemed like an extension of the prompt, but also in a new direction. This is great! (Sorry if not all of what I said makes sense, pain medicine sometimes makes it so that what I say makes complete sense to me, but not to others.)
