The Sweetest Sin

Each breath I take, I breathe you in,
a scent so blissful, the sweetest sin.
You take my hand, and hold me tight,
and kiss me deep, and still so light.
Our hearts beat at the same speedy pace.
Your light brown hair tickles my face.
Keeping your blue eyes locked to mine,
you tell me you will love me through all time.
And with every day together,
our love just kept on getting better.
Until one day, a day so long,
a look in your eyes, said something was wrong.
You told me the truth, the tears started down my face,
Pain and tears was all I could taste.
My heart fell apart and the pieces turned black.
You said you're sorry, and never looked back.
I sat in silence, pain raging within,
your scent trailed behind, the sweetest sin.

What did you think

I'm sorry he did that to you. Honestly I am. I know you still love him, too. Good write though. Why didn't you ever tell me you could write poetry?
