yellow

Hues of gold
that might have been,
the little things
that leave a grin.

But flocks of hair
turn orange to brown
above her flowing
amber gown.

We reached for lips,
a glossy splash
the heavens glowed
and angels crashed.

Beneath the fallen silhouettes
were tears and lies
and swelled regrets.

But lights turn warm
when eyes be crashed
through evermore
our color lasts.

Lovely to read your work again, especially a piece as beautiful as this. I love it most when you write in rhyme as I feel it really brings out your true feelings.

    Hope you are well.
