what a thrill on a day when the trees start to dance
leaves blowwing around as tho in a trance
and the children run around being who they wanna be
with the sweet smell of caramel apples, so soft, but sticky
with doors opening and shutting as tho by the beat of the drum
kids are running up to the doorbell just to get in front
and candy is droppped in one by one in there bags so fare
with multiple chocolates in those bigs bags to share
and the adults go back inside too the movie they watch
snuggling together, mom and dad and the older bunch
watching the horror flick as the light sputters on there faces
strickened with fear and anxiety for the next scene
then you have the candy,
oh that sweet candy,
with marshmallow dipped in chocolate along with its crunch side
its gooey so moresful, you can't resist not having another bite
and then you have the sours mixed with sweets
and the licorish bits
and how about that sweet popcorn ball
so much to handle in one haul
but yet them children carry their bags one by one
"halloween"
