Stagnant shoulders
in the shower,
and thighs to remind
of how your mistakes
still determine mine
I put it all down
to a genetic
predisposition,
just like you, I have
no sense of responsibility
there must be some
incorrect chromosomes
convoluted
or bent
like curvature of the spine
bowed against the wind,
screaming scoliosis,
I can convince myself
of catharsis
even now
six hours away
I imagine the excuses
singing
"fuck you
and all you've been through"
Author notes
"fuck you
and all you've been through" - Damien Rice, Rootless Tree.

Oh, ahahaha. I like how enthusiastic Keira seems about this piece, and about you.
Beautiful writing, sir. I loved the third stanza.
Thank you for your entry.

Haha, I think Keira's entusiasm is because we had been discussing how we like all the same music. Either that or she is just madly in love with me. Probably a combination of the two.

Thank you!
