which is why i stay silent for sure

but i go to counseling to break that
everything i did learn how to do
hasnt been tested on you
everything ive done was too late for you
and you didnt need me anymore

but i stand there and stare at your face
my heart tears apart as you see a smile on my face
i dare not let you see the real me
i would take you back instantly
but i make the choice at haste
not to speak and to let you think of me as just a memory

I like this! I think we all go through this with someone in our life that you will always have feelings for. So you try to avoid them so you won't go back to them and get hurt again. Thank you for sharing this I enjoyed reading
