If I fall into darkness:
Please light a candle for me.
And if my eyes are blinded:
Please whisper so I may see.
And if I start to shiver:
Wrap me beneath my cloak.
And if I embrace cold death:
Please pay the coin for my boat.
And if I pass unknown:
To the ethereal shores—
And if my body remains:
Please burn me to my core.
And if the ashes take flight:
Please light a candle for me.
For I was a blinded man
Who never thought to be free.
Please tell me what you think
