All Hallow's Eve

Flashes of red and yellow
Spiral down the gray page
Landing in spurs
Along the shivering dirt floor
Mother Earth is set on flames
In the chilly breaths of wind
That exhale an aroma of sweet death
Selling a plague amongst the last green
Shriveling the living into empty corpses
Hefty orange gourds creep out on the vine
Waiting to be cut free from the branch of life
Rolling into the arms of masked beggars
Swarming in a devilish mass
Trotting and crunching on rotted past
Bone- crushing noises slip up from below
As the glowing light settles down early
Casting darkened spirits onto the silent hills
The black curtain falls down early
Signaling the parade of the living dead to commence
Shattering screams mix with hearty laughter
Nightmares invade each snuggled home
Tonight we walk hand in hand with death
Embracing his bony curves
Staring straight inside his hollow eyes
Let's forget our beating hearts
And celebrate inside our graves
On this foggy night
All Hallow's Eve
