With my human mind
human heart
and thoughts...
" I could have been born an ant too."
Well what about the life of an ant
would I be envious of the humans scattered about me.
Seeking and devouring their nourishments
wood, meat or sugar.
Oooo I would have liked to be a sugar ant.
And ruin the romantic picnics by the sea.
Where my only goal in life is to eat and gather
eat and gather...
Life wouldn't be so complicated
and I sure wouldn't be pouring my heart out
to the wind
as enstranged humans do.
Or try to catch the sunlight as their own.
Keep trying to touch the stars no matter how impossible it would seem.
All I would do is
eat and gather eat and gather.
A lot less complicated
than being born a human
