Do not worry what you shall eat

nor mind what you shall wear,

for My children you are Mine,

tell Me why you fear?

I know your heart, as I Am with you

in the temple I have made,

I ask you just to close your eyes,

let 'all' deception fade.

See the sun I put it there,

it is My candle in the night,

My stars look over each of you,

keep you in My sight.

I count your tears, place them in the sky,

it is then my colors call;

to promise you I Am nearby,

because I love 'you' most of all.

Author notes

Luke 12:22
Then Jesus said to His disciples: "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat, what you will wear. Life is more than food, and the body more than clothes.
Consider the ravens: They do not sow or reap, they have no storerooms or barn: yet God feeds them, and how much more valuble you are than birds!

Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?
Since you cannot do this very little thing, why do you worry about the rest?
Consider how the Lillie's grow, they do not labor or spin, yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.
If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today, and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, how much more will He cloth you?"
O you of little faith!!!!!

    A wonderful verse you have in your authors notes it reminds me of a book I have called "Don't sweat the small stuff (and it's all small stuff)" It is not for us to worry about anything in God's love and light, for He will provide what we need if not always what we want. Thank you for your entry and best of luck to you... Scott

    From the first line this work reminded me of one of my favorite bible verses, then I was pleased to see it in your notes. Yes, we tend to get all wound up in our needs creating an atmosphere of fear and deficiency. The thoughts could drive one mad. Yet when we let go and let God, it is amazing how fulfilling life can truly be.

    Wonderful work, dear poet. Your work of late has been very profound.

    How many of us lose our faith once in awhile? This poem is a wonderful and uplifting reminder that we will be provided for, and that worrying never really helps at all. I think everyone, at times, can use this reminder. Great job on this poem my friend! Blessings, Patty

    Excellent. This tells me how to return, in faith, to our source and always know the spirit is there to fill us up and see us through the hardest times.

    This is a delightful inspiration. A beautiful poem. On the last verse, second line, should "than" be "then". Sorry. God bless.

    You have quoted some beautiful lines from the bible here Kathy. We should never worry if we believe those words.
    The first two lines of the last verse puzzle me, are you refering to tears as stars here?
