The evil time of the year approaches
When the devil of darkness gets his due
Upon our unsuspecting souls he encroaches
In seemingly harmless fun he makes his debut
It's the time of fun and pleasures
To wear a mask and hide your shame
To partake in earthly sensual treasures
Let your passions and fears inflame
Change your mourning to laughter
Disguise depravity as normality
Call upon the dead from the hereafter
Ignore impurity, infamy and immorality
Let the saints be slain on this Holy Eve
While the Spirit of Love will lament and grieve

GREAT POEM!!!!
I totally agree with this poem...It is a way of disguising evil for good. To openly worship Satan for some, lurk around in costumes looking for small children to prey upon for others. But if parents are vigilant, it can be a fun holiday and many safe friendly activities can be accessed to still let children enjoy the innocence of fun dressing up and experiencing family traditions of this day without the worry of danger. Thanks for sharing so many valid points!!!!~~~Toni~~~

Great poem! I don't feel this way, but understand why you would and many do. All Hallows Eve started as a catholic holiday, where people would do spookey things to scare away evil spirits, not to celebrate them. Hope all is well with you and you have a great weekend!
blessings,
Michelle
