there was a crown around the moon
a circle of light, caught in a cloud;
the colors of night gleamed brightly
as air held the essence of flame.
The silver center became a pearl
the sky a mother shell, luminous shades
reddened the light and the white gem
centered in my eyes, from a wish sent
into the darkness, for such is hope.
Signs that give answers,
keep us tilted to the resonant night
where stones and fires, greater clouds
than sight can contain, spin wildly.
Upon a rumor of faith, we snatch
the glow of a satellite, reflected in a mist;
yet smile within, for it was this way; and once again
when my wishes came back, in her beauty.
Now, She touches an autumn night.

Gorgeous!!! The visual is described as compelling as the site itself. A wish spoken, when all that is seen is encompassed by even more than we can recognize and call to, is spoken truly by faith and hope. Here those sentiments fill the spectrum... and the fulfillment of the end is that much more treasured.
After the wishes come back, there seems to be a difference in the object of focus. The "She" (distinguished by the captial) is more tangible than the visage or even the wish that it inspired. The touching here at the end seems so complete.
This is amazingly beautiful.

Thank you Ten-
I sometimes remark over coincidences but often it seems to me things take on meanings like signs of something else, so in a rare event my mind wonders...there are times we set loose our inner thoughts as wishes or prayers, we look at our abundant world and despite all manage to ask for more, and somehow we often receive. Thank you so much for your lovely words...PK

Thank you Mari~
It was a truly amazing sight, a rainbow around the moon, all the colors from red to violet...I think i forget that a cloud is water, and this is a reminder how beautiful light through water can be...glad you enjoyed, glad i started looking at the moon...h

I love how nature usually denotes the feminine. Your poem is a breath of fresh air. I love nature and the night sky. The full moon had a wonderful display this weekend. Perfect for Halloween participants. LOL You have captured the essence of its beauty with ease of pen and precious wording. Beauteous!
Much Love ♥

This beautiful verse wrapped around me and held me in its embrace. I loved your last line with its feminine bent. I am always impressed by your ability to take uncomplicated language and focus the reader's attention in new ways. You make me appreciate the night sky in ways I have never imagined. Peace, Liz

Thank you Liz-
this was quite a sight, rainbow around the moon, at a time i'd not intended to be where it was, and the view was there for just a short while then gone. So it felt like it was one very fortunate connection...a thing of beauty, fleeting, and gone...thanks for all...PK
