answers for a thesis - not necessarily poetic

5 simple questions...
1. Simply, what is your religion/religious beliefs?

I have chosen in my life to believe in Jesus the Christ, Son of God who's spirit was from the beginning. I believe that God spoke words in Genesis and that he has given to us power for our words, to be spoken with care for they are containers of power. I believe that we are to grow like the mustard seed and be able to serve and grow becoming blessed to be a blessing to others. I believe that character is important and that each of us must make a choice.

2. Do you feel comfortable with this belief or believe you should walk a different path? If you feel your path should be elsewhere, where do you feel you would be most comfortable?

Serendipity is important, it is our path and the path of others with whom we cross paths that broaden our minds. I am comfortable with my belief, knowing that there is a higher power that I can connect with.

3. Describe in a short paragraph what you feel is the difference between religion and spirituality.

I have more of a problem with doctrine and the formalities that churches try to have the congregation conform to. I do practice Bible reading and Prayer also the talking in tongues (a direct communication with spirit) I do appreciate structure, but am so blessed when the spirit moves spontaneously. Religion has the past to give us a foundation upon which to help us make our choices. I feel that some spirituality without a base or system of values may not have the same richness or potential.

4. How do you feel about religious intolerance? Is there only one set of beliefs that should exist; or do you accept that each individual is entitled to their own beliefs? Moreso, would you accept that person into your life even with a different view?

I cannot allow someone else to impose their bias system into my beliefs, I do follow the Bible teachings and in that I try to conform. But there are other books that even the Bible speaks of - hence I have a insaciable curiousity for different beliefs. I find it quite interesting that Jesus himself came out from Egypy.
I believe that a person of a different cultural or religious background would enhance my life - if only to expand my thinking. (As long as they weren't obnixious or prostelitizing)

5. I would like for you to quote me one religious/spiritual quote (does not have to be biblical) and interpret it into your own thoughts.
Mark 11:24 ...shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.

As I said earlier, our words are powerful and believing is everything when combined with faith and a good walk with God.

I already know some of your views of religion. Your elaboration for number 1 says more than I could have gathered. Well stated.

Your answer to 3 is also well stated. I like your statement of the spirit moving spontaneously. Nice.

4 is just what I would have expected from you. You have shown me many times that you allow other beliefs to enrich your thoughts, even if only to try and gain some understanding. I do think that (what I am assuming you refer to as biased-) people with one view being the only view is wrong. We as humans are different and I personally must accept that there will be different views as well/

Thank you Tang, I appreciate your time and help/ Please just leave this here to I have time to write my thesis.

That's the way, Tang. Stick to your guns, so to speak. Since I do know you... keep the ink flowing with honesty, my friend.
