A star will burst,
And then the stars beside it,
And then all the stars beside those stars,
Like dominoes hammering the ground,
And everybody will see nothing.
Swimming pools will rise up,
like a magnet attracted to the moon,
and they will freeze solid in the air.
Gasoline will shower the sky,
and a match will be lit--
the whole sky on fire,
burning the birds and airplanes.
All clouds slowly float down,
only to be dissolved in the ocean,
and inhaled by fishes.
Eardrums ring like cell phones,
made numb by the ice of noise,
and everybody's high with adrenaline,
drowning in their own sweat.
Yet I don't care,
for the only thing that makes life worth living
Is death.

Excellent write poet! your words are enchanting and are filled with such despair! the ending beautiful in its simplicity death lingers far after I finished reading this, good luck in the contest!
