God's Word (David)

Little David was to take a meal
to brothers in a war.
There, Goliath had them all afraid
and David thought. What for?
"Is there not a cause?" Why listen to
this screaming day and night?
David took a sling and he did fling
a stone with all his might.

God's Word,
yes, it will stand,
for the Bible is the truth
throughout the land.
When you need a friend to deliver you
with foes on every hand
on God's Word
you can depend.

So, the stone did fly above the eye
and landed in the head
of the Philistine that was so mean.
He fell for he was dead.
David's victory's for all to see.
The Word of God is true.
If you will but pray and then obey,
he'll do the same for you.

God's Word,
